ICSB Observed National Mourning Day and 48th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) has paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of his 48th Martyrdom Anniversary. Dhaka Regional Chapter (DRC) Sub Committee of ICSB, Council members, members, students and officers of the Institute attended the National Mourning Day and 48th Martyrdom Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 2023.

In the morning, the day begun with hoisting of the National Flag (half-mast). Chairman of the DRC Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid FCS and Council Members along with a large number of ICSB Members and officials participated in the morning session.

Dhaka Regional Chapter (DRC) Sub Committee Members, Council Members, Members and Officials of ICSB paid tributes to Bangabandhu by placing floral wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi Road-32.

ICSB also distributed food among poor and needy people in the Bangla Motor area of Dhaka.

Mr. Mohammad Asad Ullah FCS, President, Mr. M Nurul Alam FCS, Senior Vice President, Mr. A. K. M. Mushfiqur Rahman FCS, Vice President, Mr. Md Zakir Hossain, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of ICSB discussed about the life of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. They respectfully remembered Bangabandhu and his martyr family members. Mr. Mohammed Harun-Ar-Rashid FCS, Chairman of DRC participated in the discussion and thanked everyone for attending the programme. The programme was moderated by Mr. Md. Shahedul Amin FCS, Member Secretary of DRC.

Finally, a special Doa Mahfil was organized for eternal peace, forgiveness of the soul and Almighty Allah’s mercy on the souls of Bangabandhu and his martyr family members of 15 August 1975.
