Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) conducted training on ‘Mastering Bancassurance: Strategy, Compliance and Business Development' held on Saturday, 4 July 2026 at BIM, Dhaka aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of its members, students  and corporate officials and other professionals.

Mr. Md. Shabbirul Alam Chowdhury, Secretary & Chief Executive Officer of ICSB, delivered the welcome speech and moderated the session. Mr. Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun FCS Training Coordinator and Council Member of ICSB inaugurated the training session and thanked everyone for attending such a time-befitting training session. He introduced the resource persons and outlined the objectives of the training. 

The session was conducted by Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Faculty Member of  Bangladesh Insurance Academy; Mr. Md. Apel Mahmud, Member (Life) of Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA); Dr. Hasina Sheykh, Professor, Department of Banking & Insurance of University of Dhaka and Mr. Ali Reza Iftekhar, veteran Banker as well as Former Managing Director of Eastern Bank PLC.

During the training, the resource persons provided an in-depth overview of the following topics:

The session concluded with an interactive discussion, where participants raised queries regarding practical challenges and the resource persons addressed them.

A good number of ICSB members, students and senior officials from country’s leading corporate houses, different professionals attended the training programme. Finally, Mr. Hossain Sadat FCS, President of ICSB handed over the certificates to the participants.
